of us who attended the California Libertarian Party State Convention in

information, Mark McSpadden will speak about this same United Nations Agenda 21 and how it is
affecting you right now in your local communities. As
usual, we will meet for dinner and conversation at Raffaello’s Ristorante,

From the Chairman, Jay
Jones: Many of you have been getting communications from me regarding
my attempts to run the South Bay Libertarian group e-mails out of a gMail
account. My ISP, Cox, has a spam policy that prevents me from sending out
group e-mails that they consider spam. This appears to be based on the total
number of addresses in the collection of groups; it appears that about 80
addresses is the tipping point. Trying to talk to Cox has not been
satisfactory; neither have been my efforts with gMail. It looks like the only
way I can get around this is to pare down my mailing list and send it out
fewer times per month. The list I have now is made up of those
who have a history of coming to our dinner meetings. If you don't want to
remain on this list please let me know. If you would like to receive e-mail
notices, please send your e-mail address to Jay Jones at j1000@cox.net.
This website will also continue to be updated regularly.
The California
Libertarian Party is backing the Regulate Marijuana Like Wine initiative. Do a
web search and see what you think about it.
If you are a local
candidate for office, a member of the Tea Party, Nullification movement, or
other having a libertarian viewpoint, who wishes to speak at one of our
meetings, please contact Jay Jones (310-377-8641 or chair@liberty66.org) and we can arrange
it.

“It will be of little avail to the people, that the
laws are made by men of their own choice, if the laws be so voluminous that
they cannot be read, or so incoherent that they cannot be understood; if they
be repealed or revised before they are promulgated, or undergo such incessant
changes that no man, who knows what the law is today, can guess what it will
be tomorrow.” -- Alexander Hamilton and James Madison (Federalist
No. 62, 1788)
“The state – or to make the matter more concrete, the
government – consists of a gang of men exactly like you and me. They have,
taking one with another, no special talent for the business of government;
they have only a talent for getting and holding office. Their principal
device to that end is to search out groups who pant and pine for something
they can’t get, and to promise to give it to them. Nine times out of ten that
promise is worth nothing. The tenth time it is made good by looting A to
satisfy B. In other words, government is a broker in pillage, and every
election is a sort of advance auction sale of stolen goods.” — H. L. Mencken 1936 |
